Giuseppe Zampieri joined David Chipperfield Architects London in 1996, becoming Associate in 1999, Senior Associate in 2000 and Design Director in 2002, leading the Concept Design team until 2006.

He founded David Chipperfield Architects Milan in 2006 acting as both Managing and Technical Director, becoming Partner in 2016.

In over 30 years of experience within the Firm, Giuseppe has directed an extensive array of national and international projects and a series of works that have won both national and international Competitions. Among others, in Italy Giuseppe developed projects for the Historic Centre of Salerno, the San Michele Cemetery in Venice, the Palace of Justice in Salerno, the Natural History Museum in Verona, the MUDEC – City of Cultures in Milan, the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, the Complex of Santa Chiara in Pisa, the new University Campus in Padua. He has driven Store Concept developments for Fashion Brands such as Akris, Bally, Brioni, Charles&Keith, Furla, Persol and Valentino, as well as for Multibrand Retailers such as La Rinascente, KaDeWe, SSENSE and LOTTE. Giuseppe has also curated fit-outs for Exhibitions on David Chipperfield Architects at the Palazzo della Ragione in Padua, at the Arsenali Medicei in Pisa, at the Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza and the Torlonia Exhibition in Rome.

More recently, Giuseppe has directed the renovation of Palazzo Ancilotto in Treviso, the renovation of the Procuratie Vecchie in Venice, the extension of Porziuncola Protoconvent in Assisi, the renovation of Apostolic Library Archives in Vatican City, and currently a series of Mixed-use complexes in the Middle East, South Korea and United States.
