Alasdair Graham joined David Chipperfield Architects in 2015, becoming a director in 2020 and a partner in 2021. As a partner, Alasdair is responsible for new projects and communications strategy within the London studio. He develops and directs the business development approach, helps to establish client communications and ensures that the ambition and agenda of each project is embedded from the outset. As a Team Leader, Alasdair oversees several projects in the office including the Dunard Centre concert hall in Edinburgh and the LSE Firoz Lalji Global Hub in London. He previously led competitions and projects for the practice, including the transformation of the Grade II listed US Embassy building at 30 Grosvenor Square in London.

With over 20 years’ professional experience, Alasdair has worked internationally for offices including Harry Gugger Studio, OMA and Zaha Hadid Architects. He has experience at all stages and scales on cultural, educational, commercial, mixed-use and residential projects. Alasdair studied architecture at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow and the Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL, London.
