Viola Fabi has been part of the team at David Chipperfield Architects since 2018. As an Architect, she is currently working on the restoration of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, contributing her expertise in the design and refurbishment of heritage buildings. Her key projects include the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg and the revitalisation of the Bötzow Brewery in Berlin.
Her particular interest lies in the adaptive reuse of vacant public buildings, a subject she explored in depth in her PhD at the Politecnico di Milano. For her research, she was awarded the Premio Berlino in 2018, a national Italian prize for emerging architects and researchers in the field of reuse and urban regeneration. Viola completed her architecture studies at the Università degli Studi di Parma.
