Julia Schenke joined David Chipperfield Architects Berlin in 2013 and became an Associate in 2017. From 2020 to 2024 she co-led a team together with Frithjof Kahl, focusing on smaller scale projects within the practice. Since the beginning of her career, she has been responsible as Project Lead for the design development, detail design and artistic site supervision of various projects, including the masterplan for the Alexander Haus in Potsdam, a gallery building in Berlin Kreuzberg, as well as private residences in Munich and Hanover.
After training as a carpenter, Julia studied architecture at Münster School of Architecture, graduating in 2011.
