To launch the opening week’s activities, David Chipperfield and project architects Diana Schaffrannek and Ivan Dimitrov joined a press tour of WaltherPark together with Thibault Chavanat, Chairman of the Board of WaltherPark AG, and owner Christoph Schoeller.
Bringing together housing, offices, a hotel, gastronomy, retail and childcare facilities, the new complex responds to both the historic fabric of the old town and the larger post-war structures nearby. With the redesign of Parco Stazione and the surrounding streets, it creates a new, welcoming gateway to the old town, enhancing the quality of the public realm in the heart of the city.
After years of design and construction, the event marked a special moment for everyone involved. The public opening of the building will take place on Thursday, 16 October 2025.
