Faro battery lamp is the latest collaboration between Swedish manufacturer Wästberg and DC Design. The lamp was launched during Stockholm Furniture Fair in February 2024. Inspired by historic lighthouses, Faro is a portable, rechargeable lamp that can be used both inside and outdoors, providing both strong, focused illumination, as well as emitting a gentle, diffused glow to create a more intimate atmosphere. Made from recycled die-cast aluminium, it comes in five different colour coatings, as well as a raw aluminium finish. The colours originate from the small harbour of Corrubedo in Spain, home to David Chipperfield’s Bar do Porto, with which it shares the same colour palette.
