The w102 table lamp references the archetypal personal desk lamp for home and office use, and seeks to offer a fresh interpretation of the familiar on a domestic scale. The lamp is predominantly made from brass – a material commonly associated with lights, though not widely used in contemporary design. The intention was to create a simple form with a clear distinction between the base, arm and lamp head. The luminaire has no visible joints. Its minimal directional movement with rotation at the base and head joints represents no compromise to its function. The lamp features LEDs that can be dimmed.
The extended w102 luminaire family was launched during the Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair in 2019. It expands the material palette to include blackened brushed steel and comprises table, wall and floor lamps.
