David Chipperfield designed a bistro table for the James-Simon-Galerie, the new entrance building on Berlin’s Museum Island, and realised it in collaboration with Frankfurt furniture manufacturer e15. The steel frame with dark semi-transparent powder-coating and the precisely crafted Bianco Carrara top flow into the overall material concept of the new building. The table for the café, which lays between the generous foyer and the terrace along the Kupfergraben canal, can be used as a solitaire or arranged in groups.
