Following training as a technical draughtsperson, Urs Vogt studied architecture at the Ingenieurschule beider Basel. He has worked as a qualified architect for over 30 years in Switzerland, Italy, Germany and the USA. Urs joined David Chipperfield Architects in Berlin in 2007. In 2017 he became an associate. As project architect for the James-Simon-Galerie on Berlin’s Museum Island, he was responsible for the overall design and planning for this major project. Most recently, Urs has been responsible for the planning of the Music Academy in Jingdezhen and The Ned Doha.
