Urs Vogt joined David Chipperfield Architects in Berlin in 2007 and was promoted to Associate in 2017. As Project Lead for the James-Simon-Galerie on Berlin’s Museum Island, he oversaw the overall design and planning of this landmark cultural project. Urs has subsequently led the planning and realisation of further high profile international commissions, including The Ned hotel in Doha and a music academy in the Jingdezhen district of China. Urs is currently coordinating the team for the extension museum building of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens.
After training as a technical draughtsperson, Urs Vogt studied architecture at the Ingenieurschule beider Basel. With over 30 years of professional experience, he has practiced as a qualified architect in Switzerland, Italy, Germany and the USA.
