Moritz Fritz joined David Chipperfield Architects in 2018, becoming an Associate in 2025. He is currently the Project Lead for the refurbishment of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg, one of Germany’s most renowned cultural history museums. With a particular focus on the sensitive handling of historic building fabric, he brings in-depth expertise in the design and delivery of complex projects within heritage contexts.
Prior to joining the practice, Moritz worked as research assistant in the field of heritage conservation and architectural history at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. During his architectural studies at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, he also gained international experience at the University College Dublin and as a scholarship holder of the AEC Global Teamwork Project at Stanford University.
