Michael Freytag studied architecture at the Technische Universität Berlin and has been working as a qualified architect since 1993. He joined David Chipperfield Architects in Berlin in 2000. As team leader, he was responsible for the new build rooms within the Neues Museum project from design development to completion. He has furthermore been project architect for a number of projects, including the Parkside Apartments on Potsdamer Platz and the Forum Museumsinsel, both in Berlin. Together with Daniel Wendler, he was project architect for the refurbishment of the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin. In 2004 Michael became an associate in the Berlin office. Further to his responsibilities as a project architect, Michael was responsible for the introduction the quality management system at David Chipperfield Architects Berlin.
