Following her studies in architecture at the Universität der Künste Berlin and the Bartlett University College London, Franziska Rusch joined David Chipperfield Architects Berlin office in 1999. Initially she worked on the restoration and new build design for the Neues Museum on Berlin’s Museum Island. During her many years in the Berlin office, Franziska has been responsible as project architect for a multitude of international competitions and initial concepts, as well as the developed design of several projects. These include the initial concept for the Jacoby Studios in Paderborn and the initial concept for the cultural district Jingdezhen masterplan, including an opera house and a music academy. Franziska also led the design for the residential project Villa Eden in Gardone. In 2017 Franziska became an associate in the Berlin office. Franziska is responsible as team leader for concept development and competitions.
