Cristiano Billia joined David Chipperfield Architects London in 2002 and moved to the Milan Office in 2008, becoming Associate in 2010, Senior Associate in 2014 and Associate Director in 2016.

In over 20 years of experience within the Firm, Cristiano has worked on a range of national and international projects, from Competitions to Public and Private projects, including Commercial and Cultural developments. Among others, Cristiano has been responsible for Store Concept developments for Fashion Brand and Multibrand Retailer such as Bally, La Rinascente and KaDeWe, as well as for Cultural Projects such as the extension of San Michele Cemetery in Venice, the MUDEC – City of Cultures in Milan, the Torlonia Exhibition in Rome, the new University Campus in Padua and the renovation of the Procuratie Vecchie in Venice.

More recently, Cristiano has also led the development of Mixed-use projects in the Middle East and South Korea, and he has led the development of Cultural projects such as the refunctionalization of the Roman Theater in Brescia, the extension of Porziuncola Protoconvent in Assisi, and the renovation of Apostolic Library Archives in Vatican City.
