Celebrated together with the Bayerische Versorgungskammer, STRABAG Real Estate and Ed. Züblin AG, the topping out ceremony for the Tridea high-rise complex in Munich took place on 8 October, marking the completion of the building's structural frame.

The development, which will also accommodate the new headquarters of the Bayerische Versorgungskammer, is composed of three building volumes: a 100 meter tower, a 60 meter tower and a connecting wing, the latter two constructed as timber-hybrid structures.

"A topping out ceremony is always a special moment: it is when you can see the vision for a building taking shape on its full scale."says Katharina Loges, project architects at David Chipperfield Architects Berlin. "With Tridea, we are delivering our first timber-hybrid high-rise and, at the same time, Bavaria’s tallest timber-hybrid building. Reaching a milestone like this takes a shared vision and close collaboration between the investor, the design team and everyone involved in bringing the project to life."
