The Ned Doha has been shortlisted for the 16th cycle of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. From a total of 396 nominated projects, 19 have been selected by the independent Master Jury for further consideration. The Jury will reconvene this summer to evaluate the on-site reviews and determine the final recipients of the Award.
The adaptive reuse of the former ministry building demonstrates a commitment to reducing the carbon impact of construction and supports local cultural identity, positioning the project as a prototype of architectural regeneration in a region where demolition has long prevailed.
