Construction work has begun on the Marina Apartments in Bad Saarow, a summer resort on lake Scharmützelsee, located 70 kilometres east of Berlin. The ground-breaking was celebrated in a ceremony on 24 June.
Continuing the resort’s heritage as a popular recreational destination, a planning area is being developed on the western shore of the lake, consisting of hotels, a marina with yacht club, holiday apartments and owner-occupied apartments. The Marina Apartments is composed of five structures, informally distributed within a pine forest, sloping down towards the lake. They are set to complete in 2022.
