Receptionist, London

David Chipperfield Architects is a leading international practice with offices in London, Berlin, Milan and Shanghai. DCA London is looking for an experienced person to run our busy front of house and reception area.


Reporting to the Office manager, you will be responsible for coordinating a wide variety of activities from meeting and greeting visitors to answering the phone and looking after our staff at our new offices on the Strand. This is a full time, permanent role that demands a dedicated self-starter with team spirit who shares our creative ambitions.

Reception duties:


— Answering calls; delivering messages, directing to appropriate email/person

— Registering attendance each day; being aware of where staff are at all times (H&S)

— Updating phone, attendance and birthday list

— Morning 'Out of office' email

— Monitoring and helping to maintain Info calendar

— Answering the door, welcoming clients/guests and preparing refreshments

— Mail; receiving, date stamping and delivering incoming mail, franking outgoing mail

— Creating and printing post and folder labels for projects

— Arranging couriers

— Booking taxis

— Printing, scanning, binding

— Stationery stock take and arranging office orders

— Keeping printing and stationery area tidy and organised

— Logging job applications received

— Approving and logging sickness, staff holidays and days in lieu

— Holiday cover for Hospitality assistant

— Any other miscellaneous administrative duties that may arise
