Team Administrator, New Projects and Communications Team, London

Are you a motivated and energetic administrator with an interest in architecture and design? David Chipperfield Architects is a leading international architectural practice and we are looking for an administrator to work with our combined New Projects and Communications team in our London practice. This is an active generalist role covering all aspects of team support. The role manages tasks related to social media and press monitoring as well as supporting robust information management, reporting and filing systems, diary management and meeting organisation for the team.
The role would suit someone who has excellent organisation and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail and an interest in architecture and design. A proven ability to problem solve, negotiate complex schedules and an efficient, pragmatic approach to administration, organisation and multi-tasking are vital. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is essential. This full time, permanent role is ideal for a dedicated self-starter with team spirit who shares our creative ambitions. Responsibilities

— Social media monitoring
— Press monitoring and logging press cuttings
— Support with handling of media enquiries
— Organising team meetings, coordinating the agenda, taking and circulating minutes and chasing actions
— Entering and maintaining contacts using our digital database (Rapport)
— Maintain and update the team’s input into the office diary
— Digital filing
— Updating digital archive of material
— Managing bookings for external events such as conferences and networking events
— Preparing itineraries and background research for external engagements
— Processing and updating subscriptions and memberships
— General team administration support
— Diary Management for the team including internal team meetings, office meetings and events

Skills and competencies

Essential
— Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
— Educated to degree level.
— Professional with positive problem-solving attitude.
— Fluent spoken and written English.
— MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Desirable
— Previous experience in a similar administrative role, however we will consider new graduates looking for their first full time role and are willing to train up a new graduate who can demonstrate potential.
— Previous experience of working in architecture and design or the ability to demonstrate an understanding of architecture and the built environment.
