Wolfgang Baumeister joined David Chipperfield Architects in 1999 and was appointed Associate in 2009 and Senior Associate in 2025. He is responsible for contract management and overall project controlling at the Berlin office. Prior to his current role, Wolfgang led the restoration and extension of the Grassimuseum in Leipzig, supervised the Masterplan for Berlin’s Museum Island and contributed to the initial design scheme for the James-Simon-Galerie on the Museum Island.

Wolfgang studied architecture at the Technische Universität in Berlin and gained experience with various architecture practices in the city before joining David Chipperfield Architects.
