Following his studies in architecture at the Technische Universität in Berlin, Wolfgang Baumeister has worked as a qualified architect since 1995. He joined David Chipperfield Architects in 1999 and was initially project architect for the restoration and extension of the Grassimuseum in Leipzig. He furthermore supervised the Masterplan for Berlin’s Museum Island and the planning for the James-Simon-Galerie on the Museum Island. In 2009 Wolfgang became an associate. He is responsible for contract management and project controlling at David Chipperfield Architects in Berlin.
