Romy Berlin joined David Chipperfield Architects in 2025 as Communications Director in the London studio. She leads the office's communications strategy, overseeing visual identity, internal and external engagement, and press activities while contributing to office culture and strategic direction. With almost 20 years of experience, Romy previously served as Director and Team Leader at Allies and Morrison, where she led teams of graphic designers, bid coordinators, and communications managers.
Romy holds a Diploma in Architecture from Bauhaus University in Weimar and an MSc in Built Environment from the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. Her expertise spans leadership and mentorship, visual identity, and strategic communication. Combined with training in typography and letterpress, her architectural foundation ensures a holistic approach that that bridges design thinking with strategic messaging.
