Following his training as a carpenter, Markus Bauer completed an education in architecture at the Universität Kassel. He worked in different architectural practices for five years before joining David Chipperfield Architects in 2006. Markus has extensive and diverse experience in the design of private houses, office and museum projects. He led the developed and technical design of the Kunsthaus Zürich and was the project architect for a wide range of projects, including Carsch-Haus Düsseldorf and a private residence in Zurich. Since 2017 Markus is an associate at David Chipperfield Architects Berlin.
