Since 2024, Ida Steffen has been part of the Berlin team at David Chipperfield Architects. Her work focusses on the transformation of existing buildings with sensitive approach to the historical contexts. She currently works on the refurbishment of the existing building of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens with a focus on the material concept of the existing structures. Prior to that, Ida was responsible for the concept design of a heritage conservation project as Project Lead within the Small Projects team.

Following her studies in art history and theatre in Munich, Copenhagen and Berlin, Ida initially gained practical experience in the field of PR and communications, before graduating in architecture at Fachhochschule Potsdam.
