Giovanni Betti collaborates with David Chipperfield Architects Berlin as Strategic Advisor for Sustainability and Innovation. His work focuses on sustainability-driven design strategies and computational design. Alongside his professional practice, he is active in research and academia, including prior positions at the Universität der Künste Berlin and the University of California, Berkeley. Currently he holds a professorship at the German International University in Berlin. Prior to this, he worked internationally at leading architecture practices, contributing to complex cultural, research and commercial projects.

Giovanni studied architecture at the Sapiensa Universitá di Roma and environmental design at the Rensselaer Politechnic Institute in the United States.
