Billy Prendergast joined David Chipperfield Architects’ London office in 1998 after studying architecture at the University of Portsmouth. He has been a director since 2013. During his time with the practice Billy has worked on a wide variety of projects and design competitions including the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center in Alaska; the Hoxton Press residential development in London; and a 32-storey mixed-use tower on Bryant Park in New York. His current projects include a new art museum in Bled, Slovenia; a concert hall in Edinburgh; and a new headquarters building for Rolex in New York.

As Design Director for the office, Billy is responsible for design and concept development of projects and competitions worldwide. He assists the project architects and teams to ensure a focused and investigative approach to design that is embedded in the practice’s larger body of work.
