As project architect, he has been responsible for a wide range of projects, including Rockbund Project & Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai, the restoration of the Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main as well as the restoration of Hotel Ortaköy in Istanbul. He supported the site design supervision of the West Bund Museum in Shanghai and is responsible for the planning and quality management for the refurbishment of the Bötzow Brewery in Berlin. Thomas became an associate at David Chipperfield Architects Berlin in 2017.
