Eva Schad studied architecture at the Technische Universität München and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland. She joined David Chipperfield Architects in London in 1994. After the practice won the competition for the Neues Museum, Eva was responsible for setting up the Berlin office, which she founded in 1998 together with Harald Müller and Mark Randel. Since then she has been managing director and in 2011 she became a partner in the Berlin office. As project architect, Eva has focused on conservation and restoration projects. She led the work on the Neues Museum and was jointly responsible for the development of the Masterplan for the Museum Island. Currently Eva is responsible for business management, human resources development and quality management.
