Arena Milano, operated as Unipol Dome, has been selected for the Prix Versailles World’s Most Beautiful Arenas List 2026. It is now eligible for one of the three World Titles, which will be announced on 10 December at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
The arena is the centrepiece of Milano Santa Giulia, a new district in the south-east of the city. Designed with Arup for CTS Eventim Group, it holds up to 16,000 people and is the largest indoor venue in Italy. Its elliptical form refers to the former Roman amphitheatre of Milan.
A wide flight of steps leads up to a podium with a piazza of over 10,000 square metres. Trees extend down the steps as a planted landscape. Above the podium, three rings of aluminium tubes wrap the building and carry LED strips that light up at night. The project served as a venue for the Winter Olympic Games in 2026.
