The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition features two works by David Chipperfield Architects relating the ongoing project for the institution itself. A model of the Collections Gallery – currently on site – shows the double-height exhibition space and will be used as a tool for the RA's curation team after the exhibition ends. This is paired with a new coloured section drawing through Burlington Gardens which shows how the new gallery and previously reinstated lecture theatre relate to one another.
The exhibition will open on 16 June and run until 23 August. Artist Ryan Gander co-ordinated this year's exhibition, under the theme of Interconnectedness while architect Peter St. John is the architecture curator.
