Models and images of David Chipperfield Architects’ shortlisted design for the transformation of the Western Range of the British Museum are now on display in the museum’s iconic Round Reading Room. The exhibition shows the shortlisted proposals by five different architect-led consultant teams. Visitors can view the exhibition until 2 March, while those unable to attend in person can explore the displays online. The competition will select a team that will work with the Museum to reimagine over a third of its gallery space with the outcome set to be announced in early 2025.

The David Chipperfield Architects’ team also includes AEA Consulting, Adamson Associates, Alan Baxter Associates, Arup, Atelier Brückner, Atelier Ten, Lobe Lloyd, Julian Harrap Architects, Plan A, Reusefully and Neal Shasore.
