Planning permission has been granted by the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) Planning Directorate for a new residential neighbourhood for Molonglo in Canberra, Australia. The landscape-led project forms part of the redevelopment of a 14-hectare site bordering the Jerrabomberra Wetlands in the east of the city and has been developed in collaboration with Jane Irwin Landscape Architects. A series of three and four-storey buildings – built using rammed earth extracted from the site – are set within a newly created garden that extends onto the buildings themselves. They will contain a mix of apartments and terrace houses.
