David Chipperfield Architects Berlin is pleased to announce a two-year collaboration with the Institute for Computational Design and Construction at the University of Stuttgart on the research subject Robots//Reuse.

The project will investigate integrative design and construction methods for reuse of discarded building materials in architectural design and construction using computational design and digital fabrication. The aim is to combine the practice's expertise on design and reuse with the latest digital methods and technologies to explore workflows that make it attractive to users, investors, and architects to build with reclaimed materials.

Robots//Reuse is funded by the Bundesinstitut für Bau-, Stadt- und Raumforschung im Bundesamt für Bauwesen und Raumordnung as a part of the innovation program ZukunftBau.
