At the opening of the Morland Mixité Capitale project, the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, presented David Chipperfield with La Grande Médaille de la Ville de Paris ‘Échelon Vermeil’ – the highest award the City of Paris can give to individuals to honour them for their work in the city. Morland Mixité Capitale is the largest project within the mayor’s Reinventer Paris initiative which aims at reinventing 23 public spaces and buildings to offer a better quality of life in the city.
