David Chipperfield Architects is designing a new residential neighbourhood as part of the redevelopment of a 14-hectare site bordering the Jerrabomberra Wetlands in Canberra, Australia for Molonglo. Working in close collaboration with Jane Irwin Landscape Architecture, the proposal will regenerate a portion of the site as a continuation of the wetland ecosystem. A series of three and four-storey buildings are set within a newly created garden that extends onto the buildings themselves, supporting hydrology, landscape and future community. The buildings will accommodate a mix of affordable apartments and terraced houses that are designed for flexibility, allowing adaptation by the residents according to their needs and lifestyles.

Running from 6 November to 4 December, the exhibition Terrestrial Urbanism will explore the future vision for Dairy Road with an on-site programme of public events.
