David Chipperfield Architects is one of six teams shortlisted by the National Gallery for a competition to work on their Trafalgar Square buildings ahead of the bicentenary in 2024. The focus of the NG200 project will be on improving the visitor experience by reimagining the public connection to Trafalgar Square and improving and upgrading the entrance and visitor amenities within the Grade I listed Sainsbury Wing.

The practice has partnered with Publica, Expedition, Atelier Ten, iM2 and Plan A Consultants.
