The London office of David Chipperfield Architects is transitioning into a partnership, marking a significant step in the evolution of the practice. Current Directors Billy Prendergast, Benito Blanco, Harriet Miller and Alasdair Graham will join David Chipperfield as Partners in the limited liability company. With David Chipperfield Architects’ offices in Berlin, Milan and Shanghai already following a partnership structure, the creation of the London partnership enables greater alignment across the practice worldwide and is a reflection of its commitment to the collaborative aspect of creating architecture.
As part of this transition, the London office also announces the promotion of Graeme Laughlan, Julia Loughnane, Matt Ball, Mattias Kunz and Richard Marks to Directors of David Chipperfield Architects London, each with the responsibility of leading a group of projects and strengthening the studio.
David Chipperfield continues to lead the practice, maintaining a strong connection to projects, pushing the design thinking and strengthening the connections between all offices, including the work of the non-profit Fundación RIA in Galicia, Spain.
