The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design has awarded the Moka coffee pot a Good Design prize in the category of household objects. The contemporary take on the Bialetti classic was designed by David Chipperfield for Alessi and launched in April 2019.

The Good Design awards programme is presented to new work within the fields of product, industrial and graphic design each year. It was founded in Chicago in 1950 by Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., Eero Saarinen, and Charles and Ray Eames.
