The June issue of Domus magazine is now available. The recent months of shared vulnerability and simultaneous isolation have reminded us all of the value of community, which is the theme of this month’s expanded editorial. Essays by Eric Klinenberg, Rory Olcayto and Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani consider how architecture and urbanism can help to build and sustain community.

Also in the issue David Chipperfield conducts a virtual visit to the studio of Tatiana Bilbao in Mexico City and Portuguese architects Jorge Carvalho and Pedro Bandeira bring together three projects for collective housing. Looking to design and arts, we publish artist Anselm Kiefer’s ongoing project to restore the house in which he spent his childhood alongside some of his earliest drawings, while Jasper Morrison and Francesca Picchi explain how we must pay better attention to the full range of qualities that make a “good object”.
