The May issue of Domus is now available. This month’s expanded editorial agenda looks at the topic of shelter and home. While many of us find ourselves adjusting to our new domestic isolation in light of the Covid-19 outbreak, the issue reflects on the role of architecture in addressing the worldwide disparity of living conditions through essays by Tomà Berlanda, Richard Sennett and Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani.

Also in the issue, David Chipperfield speaks to Jo Noero in his Cape Town studio, Deborah Berke selects three innovative re-use projects in the Americas and Fulvio Irace retraces Jean Prouvé’s ‘architecture of assembly’. Looking to design and arts, Jasper Morrison and Francesca Picchi consider the wooden crate, Robin Monotti Graziadei highlights the idea of home in work of Japanese film director Hirokazu Kore-eda, and Peter Schneider walks us through the grand squares of his Berlin.
