The AC Milan football team has unveiled its official away jersey for the 2020/21 season which is inspired by Milan’s Mudec – Museum of Cultures, which was designed by David Chipperfield Architects and opened to the public in 2015.
Made by Puma, the jersey celebrates Milan’s contemporary architecture and is a tribute to Mudec as “a reference for constant research and attention to multiculturalism and the promotion of diversity as founding values of contemporary living”. The undulating pattern of the jersey makes reference to the inner space of the museum, a structure composed of glass panels forming a large lantern, with an organic shape, that overlooks the central public space where people meet and mingle.
