A ceremony marking the laying of the cornerstone for a new office building on Munich’s Karlstraße took place 28 May. Munich’s second mayor Manuel Pretzl, David Chipperfield and landscape architect Enzo Enea all spoke at the event.
With its cubic structure and garden courtyard the freestanding
office building references the block perimeter developments typical of Munich,
while presenting itself as a distinct building within the streetscape. It is
set to complete in 2021.
