The Amorepacific headquarters Seoul has won this year’s AIA UK Award in a ceremony held at the Royal College of Physicians in London 30 April. The building, which opened last year, offers an alternative approach to high-rise corporate architecture. The almost cuboidal form of the building, with its larger footprint, increases the options for social and public activities on the lower floors, while a central void and large openings in the façades create elevated gardens, providing daylight and views.
AIA UK is the UK chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
