Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited the Royal Academy of Arts on 20 March, officially opening Burlington Gardens ahead of its public opening in May. She met with the teams involved in the redevelopment and restoration of the RA’s two historic buildings, Burlington House and Burlington Gardens. These two buildings have been linked together as part of David Chipperfield Architects’ masterplan which also includes new galleries, more public space and a new lecture theatre. The building will open to the public 19 May.
