French magazine Le Moniteur has published a video on the Lyon Confluence project featuring interviews with the architects involved. The London office, together with Aires Mateus and Atelier VERA & Associés Architectes are designing eleven new buildings across two plots within a masterplan designed by Herzog de Meuron, situated at the meeting point of the Rhône and Saône rivers.
The interviews focus on the collaborative nature of the project – across European borders – which merge urban, architectural, and social ideas. The importance of a strong guiding framework in the creation of a successful city, as well as the use of large-scale models in the design process, are also discussed.
