An exhibition of recent work by Chinese artist Song Dong is on display at the Rockbund Art Museum. The entire building, which was restored and extended by the practice in 2010, has been transformed for the exhibition which is divided into seven ‘chapters’ following the Chinese literary tradition. Each of the building’s six floors are dedicated to a chapter, with the seventh, ‘Illumination’ reserved for the building’s exterior. LED lighting traces the contours of the 1933, former Royal Asiatic Society building’s façade.
The exhibition is open until 11 June.
