Following an international competition held in 2014 David Chipperfield Architects has been selected to design the new Zhejiang Museum of Natural History in Anji County, China.

The Museum consists of eight pavilions arranged around a central garden. The landscape flows through the buildings, and green roofs strengthen the idea of a museum integrated with the landscape.

David Chipperfield Architects concept design was approved by the Cultural Secretary of Zhejiang Province earlier this month, launching the project into its next phase. Completion of the museum is expected in early 2019.
