The Valentino Flagship Store on Rome’s Piazza di Spagna has now opened and will be completed in July 2015 with the opening of its VIP area, which has been specifically designed by David Chipperfield Architects Milan for the location as part of the new store concept.

Situated on the famous Piazza di Spagna, next to the Spanish Steps, the new Flagship Store sits adjacent to the headquarters of Valentino Maison, which is located within the late 16th century Palazzo Gabrielli Mignanelli.

This is the largest Valentino Flagship Store in the world with 1,470 square meters. It features a grand entrance atrium, 6-meters in height, with marble columns and terrazzo walls creating a monumental space. Two main staircases, equally made of marble, connect the entrance atrium to the different Store levels and appear as excavated spaces.

A completely New Woman Store Concept is presented within this Flagship Store and is defined as a continuous sequence of polished white arches, reminiscent of traditional gallerias.
